The city of Flint is a joke. They should be ashamed to send anyone a "water bill" people pay to have clean usable water. We pay for service lines that can provide that. Today, we still have neither. Shame on you "City of Flint" for pressuring parents into pay you for water that will eventually cause our children health issues in the future! I gave you one star because this page wouldn't let me zero you out. You all ought to be ashamed.

I read you all fixed a manufacturing company's water supply because the poisoned water was eroding their parts. Yet you can't even bother to make sure children and their families don't get poisoned from your water supply. Stop charging them for that crap and get some government assistance to make your water safe again! This is a state of emergency!
Our water was shut off to our home with absolutely no cause at all, with no notice. Not a knock at tyre door, not a business card on the porch... Nothing. Our bill is paid, we've done nothing wrong. Our landlord changed the name of the company the rental property is listed under THREE YEARS AGO, in 2014. They just now noticed this, and consider it a legal change in ownership, so they had to shut off our water because they cannot provide water to a past owner, they explained. We can't pay to have it turned on ourselves because renting doesn't count as living there for the last 2+ years. That is the only reason they had for our shut off(without notice). And now they are saying a WEEK - February 1st at the earliest - until its turned back on. They explained that they are incredibly understaffed and don't have the time to deal with this until then... But we all know it would take one, may be two workers 10 minutes max to turn my water back on, and they simply can't manage. I have a special needs 4 year old son, and our case manager with the Autism Clinic has informed me that we cannot stay in our own home until the water is back on over health and safety issues. I have animals that I can't just leave behind... This is absurd and I'm sickened by the way the city of Flint water company has treated us. Not to mention our final phone call to the water department the day this happened (yesterday, 1/24) was unbelievable. The lady on the phone had the nerve to rant to us, like unprofessionally complain for several minutes, about my landlord - yet she had nothing to say about the 3 years-long oversight of the name change. This situation is absolutely appalling.
