I have sent three messages to Ryder corporate through their website asking for someone to contact me to discuss the issue and advise how we can avoid this situation in the future. I never received the courtesy of a reply.
They suck. Should all be fired
They do not like outsiders,Truck/Trailer leased through Ryder.Said I had to be local or make an appointment to get serviced.
It is obvious this company hides behind a veil of corporate anonymity, lacking accountability and regard for their customer's problems and concerns. The service and treatment I received was unprofessional and reprehensible. I would advise not doing business with this outfit.
I drove to the depot again the following morning and was advised that the vehicle was still out but would be returned later that afternoon - again. At this point my window of opportunity had closed and I could not execute the move for which I had lined up others' help as well as a hotel reservation which I was charged for because of cancellation. The manager never indicated why the vehicle I had reserved was leased to someone else. When I asked for a customer service number in corporate he replied that he only had access to the 1-800 nobody-ever-answers line. Um...OK.
Great place
I had a "guaranteed" reservation for a truck rental here. When I arrived to take delivery of the vehicle the customer office door was locked. I stepped into another door leading to a service area where I was advised that the rental manager was on a "personal errand". When he returned (carrying what I presumed was lunch) I was advised that the vehicle I "reserved" had been loaned out but was expected to be returned later that afternoon.
